The Women’s Premier League (WPL) Season 3 auction will be held on December 15 in Bengaluru.
A total of 120 players will participate in the auction. There are 91 Indian cricketers and 29 overseas cricketers, including 3 from the United Nations.

Deandra Dodin

Deandra Dottin is a 33-year-old all-rounder from the West Indies. She is one of only three players to have a bid of Rs 50 lakh at this year’s auction.
Before the first season, the Gujarat Giants signed Dodin for Rs 6 million. However, the series released her just days before its first edition in 2023.
Dodin became the first woman to score a century in the shortest format of the game when the right-handed batsman smashed 38 against South Africa in the 2010 T20 World Cup. This remains the fastest T20I hundred for women.
She was a member of the West Indies team that won the Women’s T20 World Cup in 2016. Overall, she played 143 ODIs and 132 T20Is for the national team, scoring a total of 6544 runs. With medium pace in her right arm, she has taken 139 international wickets with the white ball.
Laura Harris

Laura Harris is a 34-year-old right-handed batsman from Australia. With a reserve price of Rs 10 lakh, she is the oldest player in this year’s auction pool.
Laura has played franchise cricket in the Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL), The Hundred and Caribbean Premier League.
In the WBBL, Laura has been a member of the Brisbane Heat since their first season in 2015-16 and has won two championships. This season, she scored 159 points in 11 games, finishing second for the Heat.
Laura’s sister Grace has played 11 ODIs and 48 T20Is for the national team. Grace is with the UP Warriorz.

Heather Knight is a 34-year-old right-handed batsman and captain of the England women’s cricket team. Her base price is Rs 50 lakh.
In 2017, Knight led England to win the Women’s ODI World Cup.
Knight, who also bowls with his right arm at the break, has played 12 Test matches, 146 ODIs and 126 T20Is for his country.
She won the WBBL title with the Sydney Thunder in the 2020-21 season. She was picked by Royal Challengers Bangalore for Rs 40 lakh in the first season but did not play any matches.

Lizelle Lee is a 32-year-old wicketkeeper-batsman who played for South Africa from 2013 to 2022 before retiring from international cricket. Her base price is Rs 50 lakh.
She has represented the national team in 2 Tests, 100 ODIs and 82 T20Is, scoring a total of 5253 runs.
She has played franchise cricket in The Hundred and WBBL.

Alana King is a 29-year-old right-arm leg-spinner from Australia. She is also a handy lower-order batsman.
Her base price is Rs 30 lakh.
She played 4 Tests, 32 ODIs and 22 T20Is for the national team, picking a total of 69 wickets.
King has played franchise cricket in The Hundred and WBBL. In the latest edition of the WBBL, she took 20 wickets for the Perth Scorchers.

The WPL Auction 2025 will be held on December 15 in Bengaluru. The auction is scheduled to begin at 3 pm (IST).
