Middle-order batsman Travis Head continued his fine form in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy competition by scoring another century on the second day of the Brisbane Test on Sunday.
It was the southpaw’s second century after a 140-run winning knock in Adelaide last week. It is also his second century at the Gabba after scoring 152 against England in 2021.
The 30-year-old took the field with the host, who was 75 for three wickets at the start of the second day after an inspiring spell from Jasprit Bumrah.

Even though Steve Smith struggled to maintain rhythm at the other end, Head quickly continued his regular scoring style, once again putting pressure on the visiting bowling attack.
After Smith started scoring freely, the duo combined for a 159-run stand heading into Tea, with Australia taking command after being put out to bat by Rohit Sharma.
The header was completed with 13 fours and was characterized by repeated ramp shots over the cordon as the bowlers tried to test him with the short ball.
