“There’s nothing to blame him and the character showed a willingness to continue as he was hammered by two studs. Unfortunately this resulted in a deserved red card.”
Slott added: “I think it’s the complete opposite to Girona (midweek Champions League winners), I’m happy but not happy with the performance.
“I’m very happy with the performance here and I couldn’t ask for more, but certainly not the result because if you drop points at home against Fulham it’s definitely not what you expect and want.
“But yeah, being down by a goal twice, everything goes against you except one thing, and that’s our players and our fans, and I thought we were outstanding.”
