Tamil Nadu all-rounder G Kamalini was signed by Mumbai Indians for a staggering amount of Rs. 1.60 crore in the WPL 2025 mini auction to be held in Bengaluru on Sunday.
Starting from a base price of Rs. Priced at Rs 10 lakh, Kamalini saw her price go up thanks to Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians. Both of them were racing at a breakneck pace to get the all-rounder’s signature and MI eventually won the battle.
Kamalini G has become one of the most sought-after players in the auction pool after her recent appearance in national tournaments.
Kamalini, 16, was the second-highest scorer in the U-19 Women’s T20 Trophy competition, scoring 311 runs in eight matches and helping Tamil Nadu win the title in October. What made her stand out was her six-hitting ability, with the left-handed batsman taking a maximum of 10 in the tournament.
Kamalini is an all-rounder who can contribute by playing part-time while also keeping wickets across the age groups.
