Great Britain win silver in women’s 4x100m medley relay

The British women won silver in the 4x100m medley relay on the final day of the World Short Course Swimming Championships in Budapest.

The United States won the race in a world record time of three minutes, 40.41 seconds, dominating the field.

However, it was closer and the British team of Abbie Wood, Angharad Evans, Eva Okaro and Freya Anderson finished second in 3:47.84, narrowly beating the Chinese team who clocked 3:47.93.

Wood added silver to the two bronze medals she had previously won in the 200m and 400m individual medley events.
