Kyrgios, Djokovic could play doubles together at Brisbane International 2025

Nick Kyrgios and Novak Djokovic could play men’s doubles together next year at the Brisbane International.

Kyrgios, who will return to competitive tennis after playing just one ATP Tour match in more than two years, wrote on social media: “Doubles in Brisbane. See you soon” and a photo of him and the Serb from the 2022 Wimbledon final, which Kyrgios lost in four sets.

Brisbane International will take place from December 29, 2024 to January 5, 2025.

Since the quarterfinals of the 2022 US Open, Kyrgios, 29, has been sidelined mainly with career-threatening wrist and knee injuries.

Kyrgios withdrew late from the Australian Open in 2023 due to a knee injury requiring surgery, before having to withdraw from the French Open later that year due to foot problems.

Kyrgios, winner of seven ATP Tour titles, then tore a ligament in his wrist, which also required surgery, during his final match on the tour, a short-lived return to grass in Stuttgart in June 2023.
