Brisbane Weather Live Updates, India vs Australia 3rd Test: Rain expected to delay start on Day 4; December 17 forecast

On the third day of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy between India and Australia, which started on Friday in Brisbane, only 25 overs were bowled.

Alex Carey’s 70 took the hosts to 445 in the first innings. After 17 overs in their reply, India are 51/4 with KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma on strike.

The first day of the Test was also shortened and only 13.2 overs were bowled. There was no such stoppage on day two as over 88 overs were bowled and Australia achieved 405/7 at stumps thanks to hundreds from Travis Head and Steve Smith.

The forecast for Day 4 continues to look ominous, with rainfall percentages expected to be around 80-90% on the scheduled start date.
