Steve Smith held a stunning one-handed catch in first slip against the bowling of Nathan Lyon to help Australia claim the big wicket of opener KL Rahul on day four of the third Border-Gavaskar Trophy Test in Brisbane on Tuesday.
The 35-year-old took the ball quite easily on the first ball of the day against the same batsman as India were 51 for four wickets. The catch helped Australia break the 67-run lead between KL Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja and dismiss the dangerous Rahul on 84.
The break in the partnership ensured that the hosts stayed on top in the third Test, putting pressure on the visitors, hoping to get a double sweep and seal victory in this rain-hit encounter.
