Van Velzen, who last appeared on the Live Lounge during the Modus Super Series in November, returned to take the early lead in Group A after winning four of five matches, recording wins over Gary Stone, Donny Scheurwater, James Welding and Ivan Springborg Poulsen, who their only defeat was against Adam Mold, they have 8 points out of 10 so far.
Elsewhere, Gary Stone also finished the day with 8 points, but remains 2ndII behind Van Velzen due to a leg difference, and James Welding is in 3rd placerd for 6 points, Adam Mold for 4vol with 4 points, and Donny Scheuerwater and Ivan Springborg Poulsen finished 5thvol and 6vol respectively 2 points each.
The ADC Global Championship continues on Tuesday with six players returning hoping to further improve their chances of securing a spot in Saturday’s final, with Van Velzen leading the way for now. The match will start at 9:30 GMT and will be broadcast live on the Modus YouTube channel or on the websites of various bookmakers around the world.
