The PDC World Darts Championship is in full swing and reigning champion Luke Humphries can already look forward to a delicious turkey on Christmas Day.
The defending champion and world number one advanced through his second round match with Thibaut Tricole 3-0 and didn’t lose a single leg during the comprehensive escape of the allies.

Humphries won PDC World Darts Championships he beat the teen sensation for the first time last year Łukasz Małyr in a thrilling finale.
This year he will hope to defend the crown he won last year and prove to everyone that he is definitely the best player in the world right now.

Luke Humphries names two players he wants to win the PDC World Championship
For Littler, his tournament has already begun and he will be watching closely tonight as he awaits the winner of Ryan Meikle and Fallon Sherrock, who will take third place on Tuesday night.
Humphries is on a collision course to meet Littler in the semi-finals if all goes to plan, and with that in mind, he was asked who he would like to win an event that should have been met with elimination at some stage.
He said Happy hour Podcast: “If I didn’t win, if I could choose, I would choose Ryan Searle because he is one of my best friends in darts. Sports-wise, I would love to see Luke Littler win this fight because it will liven things up and make it even bigger. But yes, if not me, I would love to see Ryan Searle win.”
Searle hopes to improve the PDC World Championship record
Humphries is unlikely to grant his wish for Searle to win the world title this year – and it remains to be seen whether the 37-year-old will ever win the Sid Waddell Trophy.
As for highlights, he never really broke them. He reached the final of the Players Championship in 2021, but has otherwise only been in two major quarter-finals.
However, Searle is a top contender in his day and hopes his day in the sun is on the horizon with a major title within reach at some point in his career.
Littler has a much better chance of going all the way at the tournament this year than Searle. As Humphries says, it would be great for darts if he could claim the biggest title of all and interest in the sport would skyrocket.
