Alejandro Garnacho named as winner of the 2024 Puskas Award

It’s been a very interesting week in the life of Man United star Alejandro Garnacho as the 20-year-old was dropped for the Manchester derby but now holds one of football’s biggest prizes.

The Argentine talent has been one of United’s brightest stars during Erik ten Hag’s tenure at Old Trafford, bringing the club a breakthrough. The winger has already featured 110 times for the Premier League giants, scoring 23 goals and providing 13 assists.

Man United fans have high hopes for Garnacho but the youngster had an embarrassing moment in his short career at the weekend.

The Portuguese coach said the winger was not included in Ruben Amorim’s squad against Man City on Sunday. Garnacho was ruled out for major collisions due to training standardsIn his general behavior around the senior team.

This week offers a fresh start for Garnacho as Man United prepare to play Tottenham in the Carabao Cup on Thursday.

Despite links to Atletico MadridThe winger was awarded the 2024 Puskas Award for his stunning overhead kick goal against Everton at Goodison Park last season, already getting off to the perfect start for the 20-year-old, reports Sky Sports.

The Argentine star beat West Ham’s Mohamed Qudus and Inter Milan’s Federico DiMarco to the award, which is highly regarded in the football community.

It’s certainly a special moment in Garnacho’s career but the 20-year-old needs to get back in the good books with his manager ahead of two big games for the Manchester club this week.
