In the first set, in which the throw was held for 11 darts, Rydz’s average increased even higher. Grbavac, who averaged over 99 points himself, didn’t play badly, and the Croatian secured the first part of the match, scoring a double 10 in the next. However, with a 13-darter, Rydz returned to good form in the 3rd stage. Despite winning the set by 139, Rydz came back to hit a double to go two sets ahead, still averaging over 114.

Despite a few misses in the outer ring, a double nine gave Rydz the opening set 3. After 47’s attack, it was 2-0 in the third set. Grbavac stayed alive to win the return match for 100 points, but Rydz was fearless and sealed the victory with his second shuttle at the top.
