“United fans, you may not know me very well yet but one thing I can guarantee, I will never give up or lose faith,” Mount said.
“I’ve said it before, but I’m going to give it my all, go through this tough time and not stop until I get it.”
Amorim, who took over at United on November 1, said he would “help” Mount through his injury battle.
Asked if Mount was injury-prone, Amorim added: “It’s not my department.
“All I can do is help Messi while he recovers, teach him to play our game, give him time to think about things.
“With Mason Mount, we’re going to help him and it’s really hard for him to be out that long. He’s trying really hard. If they try hard, we’ll help them eventually.”
