Eddie Howe that stubborn Newcastle United want Alexander Issac A move away after being linked with the striker after being at the club Arsenal.
Isak took his tally in the Premier League to 10 this season after scoring a hat-trick in Newcastle’s 4-0 win over Ipswich Town on Saturday.
Arsenal, meanwhile, are understood to be considering the possibility of signing a new striker and the club are huge admirers of Isak, who joined Newcastle in 2022 from Real Sociedad for a club-record £63million fee.
However, Howe insists the Sweden international is part of Newcastle’s ‘long-term plan’.
‘We absolutely want to keep Alex at the football club,’ said Howe.

‘There is no part of me or Newcastle that wants to let Alex go. He is part of our long term plan. Personally, I don’t see it as a problem.’
When asked if he thought he could convince Issac to stay at Newcastle, Howe said: ‘I don’t think we have to at this stage.
‘He is motivated and he wants to do well. He has big career aspirations. He is still relatively young and still has a bright future ahead of him.
‘I know his will to score is second to none. Every conversation I’ve had with him about his future at Newcastle has been very positive.
‘I want him and the other players to be a person who contributes to us winning trophies. That’s the goal.’
