Luke Littler misses double 12 for a nine-darter again!

Łukasz Małyr still closing in on a record-breaking 5th place nine this year. On PDC World Darts Championships on Saturday night, the 17-year-old Englishman narrowly missed a double 12, scoring a perfect match against Ryan Meikle.

After three difficult first sets against Meikle, Littler let loose in the fourth set. In the first game of the fourth set, “The Nuke” shot two points of 180, but then collapsed on his seventh shot. In the next match, Littler started again with a double 180. The seventh and eighth darts again hit the triple crown, but the teenage sensation missed the double 12 and sent the roof through Alexandra Palace.

It was a costly miss for Littler as he bagged a mega bonus of £60,000 by throwing nine. What’s more, for every ninth darter taking part in the World Darts Championships, £60,000 is donated to charity, and a fan in the room receives the same amount.
