Lancashire Police are investigating allegations of racial abuse against a Watford player during yesterday’s Championship match at Turf Moor.

The statement added: “Burnley Football Club is deeply concerned by the alleged abuse of a Watford player during the first half of today’s match at Turf Moor.
“Discrimination has absolutely no place in football or society and we condemn such behavior in the strongest terms possible.”
Watford are appealing for anyone with information to come forward and added, outsider: “Watford FC will offer its full support to the player to whom the alleged abuse was directed.”
