Tottenham striker Alejo Veliz has been urged to move to Leicester City in January to learn from veteran Jamie Vardy.

But since then, he has scored just one goal in eight senior appearances and is currently on loan at Spanish side Espanyol, managing just four goals in 15 appearances across all competitions so far.
Veliz has struggled for game time in recent weeks and Spurs may well monitor the situation, considering recalling him in January and finding him a more productive opportunity.
Alejo Veliz at Leicester?
Velez’s former Rosario Central teammate and Argentina youth counterpart Facundo Buonanot has been enjoying a productive loan spell at Leicester from Brighton, registering four goals and two assists in 14 Premier League outings so far.
During a recent interview with Argentinian newspaper Ol, Buonanotte urged Velez to stay with Espanyol and come to Leicester, where he can learn from Vardy, who at the age of 37 has six Premier League goals to his name this season.
“I would tell Velez to come here to learn from Jamie Vardy,” Buonanot said (via team talk)
“He’s on loan, but now he’s at Tottenham, so I think he knows about it. When we were at Central, we made a beautiful pair.”
Elsewhere, there are Spurs Currently linking Along with Ajax’s midfield teenage prodigy Ryan Baunida, who has scored two goals in two games in the Dutch second tier with the club’s second team.
After losing 6-3 to Liverpool on Sunday, the Lilywhites travel to Nottingham Forest on Boxing Day looking to close the seven-point gap between themselves and the top four.
