Devon Petersen was victorious on Saturday and was crowned the winner of week two of the ADC Global Championship after defeating Marvin Van Velzen in the finals to claim the top prize.
Petersen, who entered the final after winning Group C on Thursday and Friday, started the evening by winning both of his group stage matches, recording victories over Gary Stone and Marvin Van Velzen to advance to the semi-finals, where he placed against Charlie Martin, and from there Petersen he whitewashed the Englishman 4-0 and secured his place in the final.
In the deciding match, Petersen faced Marvin Van Velzen for the second time that evening, who had defeated Shane Hayward in the last four, and once again “The African Warrior” defeated his Dutch opponent, which Petersen sealed a 4-2 victory and the crown in week two of the ADC Global Championship.
The ADC Global Championship season concludes on Sunday with the annual finals taking place in the Live Lounge, and the field will be confirmed in due course.
