Liverpool’s 100% run in the Champions League continued on Tuesday as two outstanding performances from their two stars helped the Reds beat Girona 1-0 in Spain.

Arne Slott’s side have made an impressive start to the 2024/25 season, with them currently sitting top of both the Premier League and Champions League standings. One of the key factors is the Merseyside club’s ability to win games without playing at their best, something that was on display again against Girona.

Doyle rated Alisson eight out of ten in his player review and was impressed with the Brazilian goalkeeper’s first-half save. The 32-year-old’s performance against Girona was even more impressive as it was his first game back from a hamstring injury.
