Liverpool’s 100% run in the Champions League continued on Tuesday as two outstanding performances from their two stars helped the Reds beat Girona 1-0 in Spain.

One of the key factors is the Merseyside club’s ability to win games without playing at their best, something that was on display again against Girona.

Alisson and Andy Robertson stand out for Liverpool against Girona
Doyle rated Alisson eight out of ten in his player review and was impressed with the Brazilian goalkeeper’s first-half save. The 32-year-old’s performance against Girona was even more impressive as it was his first game back from a hamstring injury.

Liverpool reporters were also impressed by Andy Robertson on the Reds’ left, with Doyle describing the Scotland star’s performance as an “impressive performance”.
The defender struggled to impress at Anfield for much of the 2024/25 season, however, the 30-year-old has returned to his best form in recent weeks thanks to Kostas Zimika Si injured and needed.
