Although Liverpool are unbeaten away in the Premier League this campaign, Slot was aware that Nuno Espirito Santo’s side were dangerous opponents. Forest are the only team to beat Liverpool in the league this season, with a shock 1-0 victory coming at Anfield in September.
Liverpool lead the Premier League table with 46 points from 19 games, six ahead of third-placed Forest.
“I have always said that the best assessment of the table is in the middle of the season. They’re on par with the rest, so they’re definitely a competitive team against us and others,” Slot told reporters ahead of Tuesday’s Premier League clash.
If you look at the way they play and their results, it is deserved. Obtaining a good result will be a very difficult challenge for us.
