Technical Director West Ham United Tim Steidten leaves the London side after the new manager Graham Potter brought his own recruitment boss, said the Premier League club on Tuesday.
Potter took control of West Ham last month, when he replaced Julena Lopetegui, and the former Chelsea manager introduced Kyle Macaulay on board, working with him since 2012, when they were on the Swedish side of Ostersund.
Macaulay also collaborated with Potter in Swansea City as a recruitment analyst before he was promoted to the head of recruitment. Then he worked with Potter at Brighton & Hove Albion and Chelsea as the head of scouting.
“Tim played a key role in our recruitment efforts. With the appearance of our new coach Graham Potter, who brought his own head of recruitment, it’s time for Tim to strive for new opportunities, “said the club.
“We would like to thank Tim for his dedication and hard work and wish him all the best in future efforts.”
Steidten took Lopetegui on board to replace David Moyes and supervised the London Club transfer activity because they spent over 120 million pounds on new signatures to build a competitive team before the season.
However, Lopetegui tried to influence, and the Spaniard was released when the club was 14 after 20 matches, suffering from heavy losses before his departure.
