Thanks to his incredible performance in the 2025 Championship Final PDC World Darts Championships on Friday evening at the Alexandra Palace, Łukasz Małyr he has already earned over £1.5 million in prize money since bursting onto the scene twelve months ago.
After last year’s defeat in the World Darts Championship final to Luke Humphries, Littler took the darting world by storm, lifting titles on the World Series of Darts, the European Tour, the Pro Tour and on television at tournaments such as the Premier League Darts, Grand Slam of Darts, and now the 2025 PDC World Darts Championship.
“He’s not just here to win darts matches, he’s also an artist. “He is the complete package.” analyzes former Lakeside champion Mark Webster for Sky Sports. “It seems to have happened overnight. He is also now number 2 in the world and it seems he still has a long way to go. He’s so ambitious, so focused on the upcoming tournaments, that’s the kind of guy he is. He has to celebrate it for the sake of winning, but when the season comes, he’ll be ready for another run. It’s not just about Luke, it’s also about his family. It’s just a fantastic journey.
Despite earning over £1.5 million before he turned 18, Littler has his feet firmly on the ground. “I’m probably the same person [as last year] but especially during this World Cup, I let my emotions go 180 degrees or make a big buck,” Littler said. “I’m usually too nice on the board, but it was good to let my emotions out.”
“It will probably happen [sink in] when I think of the amount I have raised. But this is about the trophy,” he adds. “I don’t like talking about money, but it’s there.”
Luke Littler broke the £1.5 million mark in total prize money in exactly 12 months!
Most darts players won’t win this in their entire career, and he wasn’t even 18 yet. Absolutely stunning. pic.twitter.com/ifCKNmYuDU
