Aston Villa made the most of its new partnership with Adidas this season, celebrating its 150th anniversary and first season in the Champions League with limited edition kits and special events.
Back in October Villa and Adidas collaborated with Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath release a limited edition of Predator football boots and a very short series of 250 men’s T-shirts with the Sabbath logo.
This followed their FA Cup third round victory over West Ham United earlier this month special 150th anniversary set modeled on the black shirt and white shorts used for several seasons in the club’s early days. What’s next?
Aston Villa’s 2025/26 home kits have been revealed
Next season, Villa, together with Adidas, will advance to the elite club category. This would mean the potential for a third kit branded with the iconic shamrock logo and a host of other commercial, manufacturing, distribution and design benefits.
The The 2025/26 third kit is expected to feature an off-white base and a stained glass-inspired design in Villa Park, while a primarily a black away shirt is planned as per the details leaked from Football headlines.
Aston Villa’s 2025/26 home kit is said to feature a design inspired by Villa Park, specifically the exterior of the famous Holte End.
Football headlines shared the predicted shirt design with the club’s traditional maroon body and blue sleeves, subtly inlaid with the image of the back of the Holte End stand.
The Adidas logo and the logo of main sponsor Betano are displayed in gold, which is a reported but by no means confirmed additional detail. Footy Headlines reports that the color of the shirt will be mainly burgundy, but FourFourTwo suspects Villa will stick with the claret color they have used in every home shirt since 1888.
The anticipated jersey is completed with three Adidas stripes in burgundy – or burgundy – on the sky blue sleeves and shoulder panels.
Betano will remain in a Villa shirt next season. The club has signed a two-year deal with the Kaizen Gaming-owned brand, earning a reported record level of sponsorship ahead of the Premier League’s ban on betting sponsorships on the front of match shirts coming into force from the 2026/27 season.
Villa co-owner and chairman Nassef Sawiris owns a stake in Adidas, and the club announced the signing of a multi-year deal with its new kit partner in May 2024. It is said to be worth £17m a year and was acquired after the club last year terminated the contract with Castore one year.
