Bengals’ Ja’Marr Chase is on pace for his best statistical season with four games left

At the end of Week 14 of the 2024 NFL season, the Bengals will face the Cowboys on the road. Cincinnati lost to the Steelers 44-38 in the divisional round. They need a win to keep their season alive. Joe Burrow led the Bengals to a 27-20 victory over Dallas on Monday, capped by another dominant performance from Ja’Marr Chase.

The fourth-year WR entered 2024 unhappy with his contract situation. That’s weighed heavily on Chase all season long, and statistically he’s on pace to have his best season in the NFL. Chase had 14 catches for 177 yards and two touchdowns against the Cowboys on Monday. In a contract year, Chase has positioned himself to reset the WR market this offseason.

Jamaal Chase and Joe Burrow have nearly unstoppable connection against Bengals

Chase has been dominant this season, which is exactly what Bengals fans expect when Joe Burrow is healthy. That’s not the case in 2023, and we see Chase’s production decline as a result. He had 1,216 yards receiving and seven touchdowns last season. With Joe Burrow staying healthy in 2024, Ja’Marr Chase’s 2024 campaign will be exciting.

Week 14 against the Cowboys was the fifth game this season in which Chase scored at least two touchdowns in a game. Additionally, he had over 100 yards receiving four times and over 200 yards once. He already has a career-high with 15 receiving touchdowns and can add to that number with four games remaining in 2024. Chase is 11 catches and 137 yards away from setting new career highs in those categories. For Chase, a season like this could not come at a better time. He is in a contract year and is having the best statistical season among NFL WRs. If Cincinnati wants a chance to compete in the AFC Championship game, they have no choice but to pay Chase this offseason. Can Ja’Marr Chase win the Triple Crown in 2024?
