Everton confirmed manager Sean Dyche has been sacked hours before their game against Peterborough.
The decision comes after they were beaten 1-0 by Bournemouth last weekend and their poor season continues, with them currently in 16th place in the table, just one point above the relegation zone.

The Toffees released an extremely blunt statement to confirm their decision to sack their head coach. Statement Read the official club website:
“Everton Football Club can confirm that Sean Dyche has been relieved of his duties as head coach of the senior men’s first team with immediate effect.
“Ian Vaughan, Steve Stone, Mark Howard and Billy Mercer have also left the club.”
“The process of appointing a new head coach is ongoing and an update will be provided in due course.
“Under-18s head coach Leighton Baines and club captain Seamus Coleman will take interim charge of first-team affairs.”
Sean Dyche fails to improve Everton’s form in two years at Everton
Dyche took over at struggling Everton in January 2023 and performed brilliantly in a final-day win over Bournemouth to help the team stay above the relegation zone.
However, he failed to bring any significant improvement to the team last season, and Everton finished in 15th place.
Their performance this season is still poor, with the club winning only 3 out of 19 league games so far, losing 8 and drawing 8.
There will be many names linked with the job, Jose Mourinho being one of them.
