Arsenal’s title challenge continues due to a lack of goals from their forwards, ensuring the Gunners will attempt to enter the transfer market in January for Brentford hotshot Brian Mbemo.
The Cameroon international has scored 13 goals and provided 3 assists for the Bees in his first 20 games of the 2024/25 season (transfer market), meaning Thomas Frank will almost certainly not be happy about losing another quality striker so soon after Ivan Toney left the club.
Bryan Mbeumo is subject of Premier League interest
In fact, it is understood that Frank has said that the possibility of Mbemo transferring this month is very low.
However, the Dane will understand that if a big enough offer comes in, it will be difficult for the club to refuse.

It was suggested a few weeks ago that Frank might even replace Angie Postkoglu, but he remains in west London and will surely hope his club can improve on their current 11th-place finish.
To do that, they will certainly want to keep hold of Mbemo, although if he is to move on, Brentford could turn to Nicolas Kuhn, with whom they were rumored to be interested a few weeks ago.
‘Will try to bring him in’ – Arsenal desperate to sign striker
According to sources with knowledge of the Gunners’ January transfer plans, Mbeumo has been sounded out with Mikel Arteta injured in Bukayo Saka and Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus Substitutes are needed after poor performance.
Brentford want Brian Mbemo to stay
However, the north Londoners may not have it all their own way, with news that Newcastle United, Manchester United and Liverpool have also shown an interest in the 25-year-old.
The Red Devils can only consider making a bid for Mbemo in January if they can make a profit from selling the player.
It’s clear that Brentford want the player to stay at the club until at least the end of the season, and only a special offer can change that.
Mbomo is regarded as an invaluable asset by Brentford and his contract with the Bees runs until 2026, with the club having the option to extend his term by a further year.
