A key player for Michael ArtetaFor their part, the Gunners will fear the prospect of being without the England star for more than five weeks, and with that, Arteta will need to find an effective replacement to keep their title track.
But according to Arsenal legend Keown, it is the club’s 17-year-old sensation who could provide a surprise solution.
Speaking to talksport.com, Keown said: “I don’t know of a player who has created more chances for his colleagues in the Premier League this season, so he’s going to be a really big miss.
“It depends on someone who steps up, maybe [Ethan] Nwaneri, who is playing [Martin] Odegaard’s role, maybe he can come to the front and give us something different.
“Jesus suddenly scored five goals in a week, it’s been a long time coming, so he’s got to keep it up.
“But it’s in that final third where more creativity is needed and that might be less now because you’re losing one of the best players in the Premier League.”
Nwaneri has played 16 times for Arsenal this season, with just three of those coming in the starting lineup.
But with four goals to his name, the 17-year-old looks comfortable lining up with the Gunners.
But it will not be easy for Arsenal to replace Sakka.
