Sean Dyche has been sacked as Everton manager after less than two years at Goodison Park.
The 53-year-old leaves just hours before Everton’s match against League One side Peterborough in the third round of the FA Cup.
Everton have confirmed that Under-18s head coach Leighton Baines and club captain Seamus Coleman will take over team duties for the match.
Four members of Dyche’s coaching staff have also left – Ian Woan, Steve Stone, Mark Howard and Billy Mercer.
The Toffees defeated Bournemouth 1-0 on Saturday and are in 16th place in the Premier League, just one point behind the relegation zone.
They have not had a single shot on target at the Vitality Stadium and have won just three league games out of 19 this season.
