The coach of the British and Irish team Lions, Andy Farrell, claims that watching this year’s games of six nations will be “a little different” instead of leading the Irish team.
The 49-year-old Englishman led Ireland to the next titles of six nations, but takes a scientific leave from the role of coach Lions during this year’s summer tour to Australia.
“I will be intrigued by watching games on the side. Watching the Cup of Six Nations from the side will be a bit different for me, “said Farrell RTE.
“Not only that [there’s] Important matches in Europe, URC and Premiership etc. Good luck to everyone “
Simon Easterby took the position of the temporary main trainer from Farrell, while Ireland fought for the third triumph of six nations.
Farrell replaces Warren Gatland as the main coach of Lions after performing the function of his assistant in the 2013 and 2017 seasons.
He will prepare Lions for 10 matches, including an opening test against Argentina in Dublin and ending with a series of three tests against Australia in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney.
Farrell added that he focuses only on choosing the right team for Lions.
“This is always the work of the main trainer – everyone always asks about difficult decisions that should be made, but my task is to act properly by the team.
“And the team I will train in the summer is British and Irish Lions.”
