Luke Woodhouse prepares for PDC World Championships

With winnings of just under £250,000 over the last two years, Woodhouse is 35th in the PDC world rankings.

On Monday, he will face Lourence Ilagan from the Philippines in the first round of the world championship.

Woodhouse, whose previous best result at the World Championships was four years ago when he reached the last 32, said the competition was special.

“Everyone knows this is the most important tournament of the year,” he said. “It’s the one that can change your life if you try hard enough.

“I think being on Christmas Day…everything is sold out and it’s a really special tournament.”
