Blessed with pace, skill and the cold-blood of an assassin, the Winnetonshaw-born striker soon became a regular in the England team and ascended to national treasure status through his charity work for starving children’s awareness.
What is often forgotten is that Rashford made his Manchester United debut following Anthony Martial’s injury in the warm-up before the Europa League match against Midtjylland.
Taking advantage of his luck, the 18-year-old scored twice in United’s 5–1 win and another double three days later in their Premier League match against Arsenal.
