Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola remained upbeat after his side lost 2-0 to Juventus in the Champions League on Wednesday, marking a further worrying decline in form.
Guardiola’s team is struggling to take 22nd place in the Champions League table, and with two games left, they are only three places short of automatic elimination from the competition.
The Premier League champion has only recorded one win in his last 10 matches in all competitions.
“We played well, really, really well,” Guardiola told reporters.
“So we missed the last pass, the last action, of course there are some changes, but I’m very proud of these players, they gave everything and tried and now we live in this period and hopefully we can change and get results. I know it’s difficult, in the Champions League in Europe it’s difficult, but we’re playing really well,” he added.

City’s last two group stage games are against Paris St Germain and Club Brugge.
In the new competition format, the eight best teams after eight rounds of the league phase will advance to the round of 16 and avoid the play-offs, which are currently almost beyond the reach of Guardiola’s team.
“We have two games. We need maybe one point, one win, the last one at home, and the situation is such that the match against Feyenoord (when City lost a 3-0 lead to a 3-3 draw) and especially Inter Milan (0-0 draw)” – said the Spaniard.
“But our three away games were really, really difficult and you have to accept that. And when we turn around, we will not forget this period, we will appreciate more what we have done in the past and what we intend to do in the future,” added Pep
On Sunday, City will host local rivals Manchester United in the Premier League.
