Chelsea winger Mykhailo Mudric is reportedly following in the footsteps of Paul Pogba after the Ukraine international was temporarily suspended.
On Tuesday morning, it was announced Mudrick Has been “temporarily suspended” by the Football Association After returning “Unfavorable Routine Urine Test Result”.
In a statement, chelsea Chelsea Football Club can confirm that our player Mihailo Mudric was recently contacted by the Football Association regarding adverse findings during a routine urine test.
“Both the club and Mihailo fully support the FA’s testing program and all our players, including Mihailo, will be tested regularly.
“Mihailo unequivocally confirmed that he never knowingly used any banned substance. Mihailo and the club will now cooperate with the relevant authorities to determine the reasons for the adverse investigation.”
“The club will make no further comment.”

Follow-up reports from telegraph claim “Mudric has hired a law firm to help Pogba reduce his doping ban from four years to 18 months after the Chelsea winger was provisionally suspended for failing a drugs test.”
The report also revealed Mudrick was accused of having “banned performance-enhancing substances” in his system.
Mudryk also faces the threat of a four-year ban after providing a positive ‘A’ sample – believed to contain the banned performance-enhancing substance meldonium. He has been temporarily suspended by the Football Association while he and Chelsea await the results of the “B” sample.
“Not only is Mudric unable to play for Chelsea during his temporary suspension, he is also banned from training at the club’s Cobham base and a plan is put in place to stay fit.
“Under FA rules, a positive doping test can be punished by a four-year ban, and it is understood that Mudrick has hired Morgan Sports Law School to handle his case, with Chelsea also providing support.
“Morgan Sports Law also represented former Juventus star Pogba in his appeal against a four-year doping ban, which was later reduced to 18 months by the Court of Arbitration for Sport.”

Earlier on Tuesday, Mudrick insisted the news was “completely shocking” because he had “done nothing wrong.”
“This is completely shocking as I have never knowingly used any banned substances or broken any rules and am working closely with my team to investigate how this occurred,” Mudrick said.
“I know I didn’t do anything wrong and still hope I can get back on the pitch as soon as possible.
“Due to the confidential nature of the process, I cannot reveal more information at this time, but I will do so as soon as possible.”
