However, a disappointing transfer window caused by operating on a lower budget than rivals left Liverpool’s squad weak.
Disappointing results against Leicester City, West Ham, Everton and Crystal Palace mean they are nine points behind where they were at this stage last season.
Injuries haven’t helped, but Liverpool will need to improve in 2025 if they are to move up the table.
