“It looks like we are paying a dues that is unfair. I don’t know if it’s bad luck or karma. But in terms of work ethic, everyone works very hard,” Parsons added.
It was the Cowboys’ fourth one-point loss of the season. They also suffered another serious injury, this time from teammate Parsons, who was rushing to pass DeMarvion overlooked. The second-year player went down in the fourth quarter with a knee injury and required assistance off the field. He missed his rookie season with a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee.
“I cried. He’s just like my little brother, bro. He doesn’t deserve it either,” a tearful Parsons said.
“The year he had, I really don’t think it’s fair either.” Overshown has five sacks this season, ranking second on the team behind Parsons (6.5).
Parsons missed four games early in the season with a sprained ankle. Starting quarterback Dak Prescott will also be sidelined for a year with a torn hamstring, while the veterans prefer to play defensively DeMarcus Lawrence and offensive lineman Zack Martin I missed a significant amount of time.
