Jac Morgan backed to pick up Wales captaincy baton for Six Nations

Asked if Morgan could manage Wales again, Jones replied: “Without a doubt. He has already done a phenomenal job leading Wales.

“Dewi took over in Jac’s absence and made it his own while Jac returned to the lineup.

“We are really happy here [at Ospreys] to have two recent Welsh captains among us. They have quality, whichever player is selected at any time will do a fantastic job, the boys are amazing.

Wales are still hopeful that Lake will return to action at some point in the tournament.

The worst diagnosis was that December was still 12 weeks away, which meant he could still return for the final two games.

“In my mind, this is it [Lake’s rehabilitation] It’s going really well,” Jones added.

“He’s working hard and the feedback from the Welsh Rugby Union and our camp is that he’s making good progress and now we’re just playing to hear it.

“Everything is positive at the moment.”
