Dundee United announce £2.8m loss for year to June, covering Championship season

Dundee United announced a loss of £2.8m for the year to June, the period the Tannadice club was in the Scottish Championship.

The loss was similar to the equivalent figure the previous year, when turnover fell from £8.1m to £6.35m.

The club says total costs have all fallen while net liabilities have fallen from around £3m to £4.5m.

United have returned to the Premiership after winning the second tier and are fifth in the top flight after 16 games.

“These accounts reflect the significant steps taken over the past 12 months to place Dundee United Football Club in a stronger and more sustainable position,” said chairman Mark Ogren.
