Cristiano Ronaldo reached a great career milestone during Al Nasr’s 3-1 win over Al Khaleej.

Ronaldo’s second goal of the game came late in stoppage time and ensured his 101st goal for the side.

He sits on an incredible 919 goals for club and country, just 81 goals away from 1,000 career goals, an achievement unprecedented in football.

Reigning Saudi champions Al Hilal currently top the table with 43 points, while Al Ittihad are second on 40 points with a game in hand.

Ronaldo’s brace has also surpassed Al Hilal’s Aleksandar Mitrovic in his pursuit of the Golden Boot this season, reaching 13 league goals so far this campaign.

Ronaldo moved to Al Nasr in 2023 on a deal until 2025, a deal that gives him the highest salary in football, 200 million euros per year – including sponsorship deals.

TalkSport understands that Al Nasr is confident that Ronaldo will sign a new contract that will extend his stay by another year.

The deal will see him take on the role of ambassador for the 2034 World Cup in Saudi Arabia on a nine-year deal.

Al Fateh will face Al Nasr in their next league match on Sunday.
