“It was all about our defensive effort today,” said Vikings coach Kevin O’Connell, whose team led 13-0 at halftime.
“I just felt like when we needed to play well, these guys did it.”
Elsewhere, Atlanta Falcons Quarterback Kirk Cousins ended his four-game touchdown pass drought and the Falcons held on, defeating the Las Vegas Raiders 15-9.
The Falcons’ victory was their first in four games and improved their record to 7-7, behind the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who are 8-6 in the NFC South.
Cousins hasn’t returned a touchdown pass since Nov. 3, but against the Raiders he passed for 112 yards with one interception and scored a first-quarter touchdown to Drake London.
“It’s not where I want it to be,” Cousins said. “There is a lot to improve.”
The Raiders continued to threaten late in the game, but quarterback Desmond Ridder missed the end zone on two passes in the final 10 seconds.
