Luke Littler: Defending Premier League title ‘would mean everything’ to world champion

Littler adds that winning the Premier League title gave him confidence to press and become the world champion.

He says that raising the world championships “there was a different feeling” compared to winning the Premier League crown after he felt that people questioned his place in the competition.

“I went to my first Premier League as an ambiguous card, I would say,” added Littler.

“People said I wasn’t ready for it, but I just took the opportunity when I could.

“Now I won it, it gave me a lot of confidence in global concert tours, the euro series, and now I am the world champion.”

In repeating the final of the world championships, Littler will start defense against the Dutch player Van Gerwen, who won the record seven Premier League titles.

Littler says he did not watch his last back, but the match won, but says that he focuses on starting the campaign with winning.

“I just hope that I will win this first match with Michael, get a few points on the board and see from there.

“He will be ready for this, he will be hungry. Of course, I am as a prevailing master, so everyone who wins tomorrow will be both for us. ”
