The 2025 road cycling season kicks off in Australia with the Tour Down Under, starting with the Women’s World Tour peloton, which will be held from January 17 to 19, 2025.
Women’s Tour Australia: Watch for free in Australia
Australian racing fans can watch the 2025 Women’s Tour Down Under for free, with three stages of the race live on free-to-air TV channels 7 companionsand free live broadcast 7Plus Streaming media platform.
7Mate is available on free digital TV, and 7Plus is free with a simple sign-up, but coverage is limited to Australia. Not in Australia now? You’ll need a VPN (such as NordVPN) to access your 7Plus account for the Australia Tour.
How to watch the Women’s Tour in the UK
Discover+ It is a good place for early-morning British cyclists to watch the Tour of Australia.
Discovery+ is the streaming home of Eurosport, and while the Women’s Tour will not be on the channels due to the Australian Open, all three stages will be available to watch online on Discovery+.
You’ll need a ‘standard’ Discovery+ subscription, which costs £6.99 per month.
Will the Women’s Tour be shown on US television?
US fans have two options for watching the Women’s Tour: Peacock and Flo bike.

The men’s Tour Down Under will take place next week, from January 21 to 26, but will kick off on January 18 with the Australian Classic. This is a lap race rather than a UCI classified road race, but it still attracts a large number of riders and crowds.

Down Under Classic will not be broadcast on international radio stations but can be watched online for free at: 7Plus.
As mentioned above, 7Plus is a free streaming service, but coverage is limited to Australia. Coverage is from 7.30pm to 8.45pm AEDT.

Wout van Aert was the star of Round 10 of the UCI Cyclocross World Cup, cyclocross’ premier series. The event takes place on Sunday, January 19, in Benidorm, Spain, with the Elite Women’s and Elite Men’s matches being televised in the early afternoon local time.
