Alex Yee: Olympic triathlon champion set for 2025 London Marathon

Olympic and world triathlon champion from Great Britain Alex Yee will run in the London Marathon in 2025.

Yee, 26, has won four Olympic medals in triathlon – including an individual gold and a bronze in the mixed relay at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

The London-born athlete, who previously represented Great Britain on the track and in cross-country, will run the marathon for the first time on Sunday, April 27.

“Getting involved in the London Marathon was a no-brainer for me. This event gave me so many memories,” said the five-time Mini London Marathon runner.

“Completing a full marathon has always been something I have wanted to scratch and there is no other place than London from which I would like to start this journey.”

Yee repaired New Zealander Hayden Wilde in the closing stages in Paris win his first Olympic title in August, earlier winning the world title for the first time in October, finishing third in the final in Spain.
