Dymitr van den Bergh is the only seed with such a big name that will remain intact at the 2025 fair PDC World Darts Championships on Sunday night after defeating Dylan “Oceans” Slevin in a 3-0 sets victory.
Many would think that after a night that saw Martin Schindler, Ross Smith and Gary Anderson fall, perhaps Van den Bergh, who apart from winning the UK Open this year, had a rather indifferent 2024.
However, it was a typical Van den Bergh performance on the evening, during which he put up strong scores with six 180 points, an average of 96 and a high score of 117. While Slevin became increasingly frustrated with himself as he lost to “The Dreammaker”. Now he will face Callan Rydz in the third round.

Van den Bergh started the match confidently, scoring 117 points in the deciding match and securing the opening set with a 75% doubles success rate as he outplayed the Irishman at key moments.
