Dylan in Dockers on the set of “Warm Up”.
Dylan Dethier
On GOLF.com we come across all kinds of gadgets. Here we present some of our favorites from last year.
Why this pair of golf pants surprised me – in a good way
I was thrilled when Dockers came to sponsor (spoiler alert) the latest episode of our “Warm-up‘, which will be released later this week. In its simplest form, “Warm Up” is a show featuring interviews about how pros prepare for their rounds. Every golfer I talked to is different, but they have one thing in common: it’s important to feel comfortable, mentally and physically, before you hit the first tee.
This is where Dockers pants come in handy. Look good, feel good and have fun – there is a lot of truth in it. And I didn’t know what to expect my new couple; It’s been a while since my last pair of Dockers, and every time I walk past a few well-dressed pros, I’m anxious not to look like an idiot.
Much to my delight, I put on a new pair of Dockers, the Go Airweave Chinos, and found them to be great. Tailored cut. The right structure. Very stretchy. And versatile. These are not pants designed exclusively for golf, but they certainly do the job. They worked in chilly Seattle, where I put them on first for a nine-hole round of golf. I then packed up that same pair and made the trip to sweltering Florida where we shot this episode. Cool as a cucumber.
How do they do it? I checked and they say it’s an “Airweave” fabric that wicks away moisture but is cool to the touch.
In a world of everything expensive – including golf pants – you can also get them at a great price: $88 for a pair or, currently, a ridiculous two-for-$79 deal.

They also equipped me with Choose a raglan poloif you want to complete the match. Two shirts for $49 and two pairs of pants for $79 mean a complete weekend wardrobe for much less than $150. Shout out to Dockers for providing people with quality golf clothing.
You can see this match in action (and a really fun, long interview) at our YouTube page beginning Friday, December 20.
