Dominic Solanke will miss six weeks of valuable action with a major setback to Tottenham.
The striker sprained his knee in training last week which ruled him out of Spurs’ 3-2 defeat against Everton last weekend.
Solanc also missed Thursday night’s Europa League win over Hoffenheim, and Ange Postecoglu was asked about his fitness in the post-match press conference.
Unfortunately for Spurs fans, there was no good news for the Australian boss.
“With Dom [Solanke] The information is now with Mark about six weeks.
“No surgery but we’re looking at about six weeks. It could be quicker but we’ll see.”
Speaking about the injury on Sunday, Postecoglou told Spurs’ club media: “It was one of those things. It wasn’t even that it was a challenge.
“He was just trying to shoot and twisted his knee.
“It’s one of those things that, unfortunately, we’re going through at this point.”
