Aston Villa will be closely monitoring Enzo Barrenechei’s situation at Valencia as the Argentine star’s role at the club may soon change.
Barrenechea joined Villa this summer on a double deal with Juventus, where the 23-year-old arrived at a bargain price 8 million eurosplus EUR 3 million in allowances; and Samuel Iling-Junior also joined the Premier League team.
The club from Birmingham decided that it would be best send Barrenecha out on loan immediately To gain more first-team experience, the Argentine joined Valencia.
It was a fight Chesy this season, when Ruben Baraja’s team is in last place in the La Liga table after 15 matches. Despite this, Barrenecha played a key role, appearing in 10 matches.
However, the midfielder was left on the bench during Valencia’s defeat to Real Valladolid last weekend and did not play a single minute on the pitch, and according to reports, the Aston Villa loanee’s situation at the Mestalla could soon get worse.
Enzo Barrenechea could return to Aston Villa in 2025
According to Sports StadiumBarrenechea, on loan to Valencia, is “losing importance” and is falling in the hierarchy of the Spanish Barraja.

This is a situation that Aston Villa will need to keep an eye on as it is crucial that the 23-year-old plays and continues to develop his skills. The former Juventus star is a talented player who feels Villa can develop in Birmingham, but his current situation is likely to delay that.
If the situation worsens, Aston Villa could recall the player in January if they deem it necessary, but for now the Premier League club will likely wait and see how things go.
