Everton vs Liverpool: Merseyside derby rearranged for February 12 after Goodison Park fixture postponed due to weather | Football News

The Merseyside derby between Everton and Liverpool has been postponed to Wednesday, February 12 after the original match at Goodison Park was postponed due to adverse weather conditions caused by Storm Darragh.

The match, originally scheduled for December 7, will be the last Merseyside derby at Goodison Park before Everton moves to the new Bramley-Moore Dock stadium next season.

The new date will depend on Arne Slot’s team finishing in the top eight of the Champions League, with Liverpool currently top of the new 36-club table.

This would guarantee them a place in the round of 16, which would mean missing the knockout rounds scheduled for February 11/12 and 18/19.
