Felix Alvarado’s majority decision victory over Tobias Reyes in a late-December title eliminator earned him the latest rating from the IBF, released on January 13 Recognition in updates.
In that fight, Alvarado was ranked third in the flyweight division, while Reyes was ranked fifth. The top two spots, which weigh 112 pounds, are free.
Alvarado is now in first place, while Reyes has dropped to seventh.
Alvarado, 35 years old, from Nicaragua, has a record of 42 wins and 4 losses (35 KOs). He turned pro in 2010 and suffered two defeats in his second-division title fights against Kazuto Ioka in 2013 and Juan Carlos Reveco in 2014, but finally lost in 2018 Found glory.
