2 January-FIFA in an unusual move, a lifetime ban on South Korea’s former international son, June-Ho last year, has not been extended to other regions of the world, allowing the player to follow him.
Dition has made domestic sanctions for such misdeeds, but not now, not clearly confirmed that the punishment given by the Chinese authorities has qualified for more extensive action.
The Korea Football Association (KFA) says that it was informed by FIFA that the Chinese Football Association was universally applied to the punishment.
June-ho, the son who came in three games in the 2022 World Cup, has always denied the allegations.
“The ban on the boy is only applicable to China,” the KFA said in a statement. “The path is now open for the son to sign with a team in any place in the world except the K. League or China in South Korea.”
The boy was accused of match-fixing in May 2023 while playing for four-time Chinese champion Shandong Taishan. He was kept for 10 months before being released.
He said at a press conference in September, “The only proof to them is my false confession.” “I was threatened that if I didn’t accept the allegations, my wife would also be arrested and investigated.”
The son, however, acknowledged that he received 200,000 Yuan ($ 27,610) from a close friend of China, although it emphasized that it was not connected to match-fixing.
The boy joined the South Korean top-level club Suon FC in June 2021, but his agreement ended three months later after the CFA ban was issued. He is currently without a club, the 2025 kg season begins in February.
