February 3 – FIFA has ordered the Corinthians to pay an outstanding transfer fee of $ 1.5 million, and Rodrigo Garo and Felix Torres have fined the club due to irregularities.
Argentina’s Talares believed that they were entitled to the cost of operating on Garo’s transfer to the Corinthians, but the Brazilian club argued the obligation to cover the amount. As a result of this disagreement, Garo (illustrated) can take a long time to settle to the corinthians.
When Talers filed a legal complaint to FIFA, the club also demanded $ 3 million in conjunction with the installments under the contract. FIFA has ordered the Corinthians to pay $ 1.6 million and 5% interest per year from January 2021 to the date of payment. The Brazilian club also has to compensate for $ 722,400.
Santos Laguna, Mexico, said that the Corinthians only paid $ 2 million to $ 2 million from $ 6.5 million transfer fees while leaving Torres Sao Paulo.
FIFA has come down strictly over the Corinthians, or the club has ordered the rest of the $ 4.5 million as well as 18% interest and $ 75 675,000 per year. The FIFA players support the status chamber general legal policy ‘Pacta Sant Surdanda’ (the contracts must be met).
The FIFA decisions were till September 2024 and October, but the Football Steering Committee only published the decision on its website earlier this week.
The Sao Paulo Giants have appealed to both the Sports (CAS) court. In a separate statement, the Corinthians think they had made nothing wrong.
